Alan is the founder and Executive V.P of Trans-Ad Outdoor, Ltd. He has been in the advertising arena for over 25 years, first selling ads adjacency’s to weather & traffic reports on a networks of prominent radio & television stations throughout New England. Second selling ad space on billboards servicing most of Connecticut; then in 1995 he was recruited as general manager by P&C Media, a company that had ad sales contracts with many public transit authorities in New England as well as many other eastern states. Based on the valuable experience gained in multiple aspects of public transit ad sales, Alan then founded Trans-Ad Outdoor, Ltd. in 2003. Ian is dedicated to every aspect of the agency’s culture and his client experiences. His passion is to win the trust of his clients by being honest, loyal and the best Market Manager partner. Ian became Market Manager at the start of 2013. Prior to Ian’s role as Market Manager, he was the agency’s Creative Installer. The skill of graphics installation is a tedious process.As a result, Mr. Watson perfected his knowledge of graphic installation through the world class training program at 3M; where he was certified. 3M is recognized as a worldwide leader in graphics materials and installation training. Under this prestige’s program, Ian learned the “four components to make a graphic message stand out: a great design, the right graphics materials, a skilled graphics manufacturer and an expert graphics installer. One without the other can reflect badly on the whole job, reducing the impact the brand owner wants to achieve.” – 3M. With patience and perseverance, Ian mastered installation, removal and maintained all displays in every Trans-Ad Outdoor market. He managed inventory of all displays and partnered with the transit authorities on bus scheduling, ensuring bus ad campaigns where in working condition and “Moving Messages”. Ian represents such clients as United Illuminating Company, Crunch Fitness and Penske Automotive to name a few. He prides himself on having a hand in making his clients succeed. It is a feeling that overwhelms Ian with happiness. Due to Ian’s high level of energy and integrity, he can now call many of his professional clients a friend.
